The Toronto Boat Show has been cancelled!

With the cancellation of the Toronto Boat Show for Jan 2021, it is official that we will not be holding an in-person General Meeting.

There is discussion that we will attempt to hold a Webinar for both the AGM & the Spring Training Workshop.

The scheduled date for the AGM was Jan 16, 2021 and it is anticipated that this will be the scheduled date.

During a review by Central Council of the status of the Sonar Class Association and a lack of current Certificate holders, it was decided to review all our listed One Design Classes (as per the Handicappers Manual Appendage)

The much anticipated, Point to Point handicap offset, has been calculated and preliminary numbers generated.

For 2020, your Central Council are releasing preliminary numbers for race organizers to use.

Your Central Council of Handicappers reviewed the NFS-Delta changes for 2020.

Most classes will see a change to the NFS handicap, but on average, everyone in your fleet will have similar changes.

All Mainsail must be measured or be subject to a 3 sec/nm penalty.

Including missing Main Girth Top.

At the winter Central Council meeting, it was confirmed that we will now be implementing the penalty for "Unmeasured Mainsails" on certificates that are missing ANY mainsail measurements.

In 2018 Central Council implemented the penalty for Unmeasured Mainsails.

Handicappers can now request that a "Class" be added to the Alert Review done by Central Council at their February meeting.
