The much anticipated, Point to Point handicap offset, has been calculated and preliminary numbers generated.
For 2020, your Central Council are releasing preliminary numbers for race organizers to use.
NOTE: The Point to Point handicap system is still being reviewed for implementation as early as 2021. The use of these numbers for 2020 and earlier racing is for information purposes only and could be used to re-score long distances Point to Point racing to view the outcome.
The following is the suggested inclusion into the Handicappers Manual:

6.7 Point to Point (P2P) handicap
A FS-P2P & NFS-P2P handicap will be calculated for all certificates.
The Point to Point handicap adjustments shall apply for any courses that are longer than 6 nautical mile that are of the random leg variety (marks are not adjustable to a true windward leeward Course.)
6.7.1 Time on Time
Only the “Primary” (Not the “Alternate”) Time on Time formula is to be used with the Point to Point ASP.
6.7.2 Centerline offset
A full or partial “Centerline offset” will be applied as follows:
Boats where the Class is as factory designed “Centerline Tack Point” |

6.7.3 Primary P2P Adjustment
The Primary adjustment for the Point to Point Handicap The value of a Class “Point to Point” delta shall be derived using the difference between the Jim Teeters GPH* and the WL 8 formula*, with a modified Crew weight value**.
